Back from Wackersdorf!
As foreseen, this first race of the Academy Trophy was more of a survival camp than a real Kart Race for Brad; on his own, on a very low (unsufficient) budget, in a open conflict with the Team principal...not exactly ideal conditions.
Friday’s practice times confirmed that impression: 30th qualifying time out of 34 racers.

No testing before Wackersdorf,
Brad is on his way to Wackersdorf in Germany where he will take part in the Academy Trophy representing Austria. Unfortunately, we had to cancel a special testing session on this circuit due to financial reasons.

After another podium, in school this time,
Brad went to London for a 4 day training camp. At the moment, he has a few well deserved days off to prepare a race in Bucharest and of course the World Championship (Academy Trophy) that will start in France with the first test on July 6 and 7.

A new challenge
A very complicated start into the season, broken ribs, short on budget, disqualifications and more...
Luckily, Brad keeps the faith and delivered some awesome races with a first victory in KF3!
Now we took up a new challenge and will participate in the U18 CIK-FIA Academy Trophy world Championship.

First Victory in KF3
With a pole position and a first win in race 1, Brad and Team CRG Romania had a great start into the week end.
In race 2, bad set-up choices on a drying track just ruined the chances of winning, however Brad secured a podium with a third place.
Thanks to Bogdan, CRG Romania and all friends and sponsors who made this first victory in KF3 possible!

Podium for Brad!
After Brad was forced to pause a few weeks after the crash in Conca with broken ribs, and after trying to come back to early in Lonato, he managed a fine comeback with a second place in the first race of the Romanian Championship.
Apres une pause forcé à cause des côtes cassées à la Conca, et un essai trop tôt à Lonato, Brad a annoncé son retour avec une 2ème place dans la première course du Championnat National!

Hello all,
The first WSK race is history...
On Friday morning, at the first training session, Brad is pushing too hard in wet, damp conditions and spins of the track!!!
That s what Brad had to say about the incident:
"It was on the fastest section of the track where i had an advantage over my competitors. In the slow parts, everyone was doing okay, and the works drivers had engines that allowed them to accelerate harder out of thight turns. so i decided to pass thru turn 1 and 2 wide open. In the first time i encountered a little slide and was on the curbs were grip seemed a little better!...

Dear Friends,
When you read these lines, our Team is on its way to the beautiful track of La Conca near Lecce in the South of Italy.
Starting Sunday 28th of February, Brad will take part in the official tests before competing in his very fist WSK on the week end of 5,6 and 7 march!

Everything seems calm at BB Racing
We have been able to respect the schedule and will be present at the first international outing, the Winter Cup in Lonato on February 20 and 21. We have made and paid on time the application for Brad at the WSK www.wsk.it. His number plate for the season is number 50! CRG Romania has two Maxter KF3 engines on order and is working out all technical details and improvements as you read this.
On a reussi a respecter le planning pour etre au depart du premier grand rendez-vous international 2010, la Winter Cup a Lonato le 20 et 21 fevrier. On a Inscrit (et paye l'inscription) Brad a la WSK www.wsk.it. Il va participer avec le Nr 50! CRG Roumanie a commande 2 nouveau Moteur Maxter KF3 et travaille sur tous les details techniques possibles!

Athens (Gr) - First Race KF3
On a very difficult track, very bumpy and covered with rubber, all the best drivers of the category junior (13-15 years) from greece, turkey, bulgary, macedonia and romania met for the last race of the 2009 season.
Being the smallest and youngest driver of its class, Brad impressed everyone right from the first session on friday without any experience, setting top10 times in a field of 21 drivers.

Hot news
The hot news is that Brad is turning over a new leaf, or maybe not, but at least he's changing Team: after 6 years of racing for SWISS HUTLESS - during which he's clinched 2 Swiss and 2 Romanian national titles and set an official Guinness world record - in 2010 he'll be moving to CRG TEAM, with whom he'll be taking part to the Romanian KF3 championship and to a number of international events, such as the Winter Cup in Lonato, the WSK, the European Championship and possibly the World Championships.

Summer's over and Brad is back to school!
Before that, he's taken part in a couple of exiting races:
On August 22-23 to the Rotax Series in Vesoule (F) where he got a brilliant 2nd place in a race that saw him starting from P11 on the grid.
And two weeks later, in the Mini Rok International championship in Wohlen where he finished 5th, after having been... torpedoed by team-mate Haxiu with just a few laps to go...

2 week-ends full of action in Chiavenna
Mini Rok cup
Brad finds his usual speed: 2nd in Qualifying he takes the lead in the 4th lap of the final at the expense of Shaun Vogel, clocking the fasted lap of the week-end.
Then, with 6 laps to go, Shaun attemps a desperate overtaking causing both of them to span out. Brad re-joins the race in 4th place and, thanks to some very accurate driving, manages to end the race second, just behind Patrick Pieth.

A very exciting and action loaded race week end in Levier ended with a dramatic finish where Brad was at the right place in the right moment: in front over the finish line.

After two very positive consecutive week-ends, we all moved to France for Race 2 of the 2009 Mini-ROK championship full of confidence.
And the start did actually look quite promising, with Brad qualifying in second spot, 6/100 behind Shaun Vogel, and just in front of team-mate Gjergj Haxhiu (3d) and Patrick Pieth (4th)...

After a fantastic Poleposition after qualifying on saturday in dry conditions, we found cold weather and a wet track for the races on Sunday.
As Superminis race on slicks even on rain, our hopes were great.

Here we are: after a round of tests in Pavia and South Milano at the end of March, and a few training sessions on the home circuit of Bucharest everything is now (quite) ready for the start of an exciting new season.

Tough week-end for Brad in Lonato.
With a different chassis and a team he had never worked with he was unable to find the speed needed to stay in front. On Saturday he was navigating around P25 (out of 40) and even feared not to make it into the final!

Thanks to a solid performance and a 4th place finish in the last round of the LO OFFICE Swiss Rok Cup in South Milano on Sunday, Brad managed to secure a place in the World Finals, which will take place in Lonato (I), on October 16/19th.

In the 5th and penultimate round of SMini Swiss National Championship that took place on the tricky and very fast circuit set up on the runway of the Lodrino's airport last week-end, Brad managed an outstanding race to secure a well deserved victory in heat 2 and the 2nd place in the final, behind Dennis Grob.

After having clinched two consecutive Romanian Championship titles in 2003 and 2004 in the Puffo Category, last Saturday, in Wohlen (CH), Brad fought off the competition and went on to win his first Swiss Championship title in the Mini Category.
